Things You Should Know About Money

Is
money really the root of all evil? Does it really take money
to make money? Here are some of the money traps you should
avoid when spending your own hard-earned cash!
1.
Pay yourself first - No matter what bills you have, or
how much cash you've earned, you need to get into good saving
habits! You'll only thank yourself for it later. Don't be
fooled into thinking, "I can't afford to save right now".
You can't afford NOT to save! Even if it's just a few dollars
here and there, you should get into the habit of saving regularly,
and then when you're in a position to save more money, you'll
already have the habit formed.
2.
Don't borrow what you can't pay back - This not only applies
to loans, but it also applies to credit cards and other debts.
Your father was right when he told you, "Money doesn't
grow on trees"! If you don't spend what you can't pay
back, then you'll find yourself in less trouble.
3.
Money is not the root of all evil - People are the root
of all evil. Money brings in jobs that support people, money
puts food on the table and helps us to buy the necessities
that we need to live. It's not the money that is evil, it's
how you react to it.
4.
Don't spend more than you can afford to lose - While it
does "take money to make money", it also takes money
to lose money! Just be cautious when starting a new business
venture and don't spend any more money than you can afford
to lose. Taking high risks don't always pay off!
5.
It pays to shop around - Since we've already learned that
money doesn't grow on trees, then of course you need to keep
as much of it in your pocket as possible! Shop around online
and offline to get the best deals for your purchases! Use
coupons, always send in for the rebates - hey it's your money!!
Not theirs!
All
of these tips are not "shocking". They're not even
new ideas. However most people tend to forget all about them
or ignore them like they've never heard them before. But every
time you go out and make a purchase, you must remind yourself
of these simple ideas! Do you really need those new shoes?
How many cable channels does one household really need?
Money
is not the easiest thing to come by, so why give it up so
easily! Feel free to print this article and hang it on your
wall as your personal mantra to saving money!
