Dropshipping On eBay

It's called "dropshipping" and thousands of people are already doing it on eBay with successful results. However the world is big and there are always people willing to buy products so don't feel like it's oversaturated.

Dropshipping is when you make the sale on eBay and collect the money, and then you forward your online order to the company that makes the product and they ship it out. You buy it from them at a discount from the money the buyer sent you (usually through PayPal) and you list your auction higher than what you purchased the item for and that's your profit!

There are thousands of companies online who are willing to dropship their items for you. You will act like an "authorized retailer" for them, so to speak. But beware, as with every venture there are some con artists out there who you need to be careful of. So how can you weed out the good dropshippers from the evil dropshippers? Well they aren't usually wearing a sign that says "I'm an evil dropshipper" so you have to be very careful! Usually the company that makes the item that you're selling is a good choice. Or either that or the authorized dealer of the item.

If a dropshipper asks you for money up front, or charges a "setup fee" or asks for a minimum order amount - BEWARE! These are some common scams in regards to dropshipping.

As with any new venture, take your time in researching the company that will be dropshipping for you. Ask them questions about delivery time, get accurate shipping costs, and just use good common sense! Afterall, it is your feedback rating at stake on eBay, you want to make sure your dropshipper is going to deliver the goods in an affordable and timely manner!
