Getting More Sales On eBay

by: Jennifer Clason

If you're reading this article you have by now decided to either improve your eBay business or start an eBay business. So business is decent, you're selling product, but how can you increase sales volume without necessarily increasing auction volume?

Well the answer is simple. SELL! SELL! SELL!

There are several proven methods to making your eBay auction sell better. These are just a few:

  • Use a picture of the item! It's even beneficial to have multiple pictures so that potential buyers can see the items from every angle.
  • Make it pretty! Now you don't have to be a high end designer to learn simple HTML tags. Don't lump all your text together into one paragraph, separate it out into several paragraphs, have bullet points - make it easier on the eyes!
  • Have an "About Me" page. People really do want to know who they're buying from. Plus this is a great opportunity to include your website link and other items that you offer for sale which are forbidden in the product listings.
  • Follow up with your customers after you've shipped the item! You'd be surprised how well this technique works! You might also want to mention that you have other similar related items that they might be interested in. Also include your email and contact information in a signature in each email you send to your customers so they know how to get ahold of you and your products!

Using these simple tips for getting better sales on eBay, you'll be able to increase your profits and your bottom line!
