Turn Junk Into Dollars

by: Jennifer Clason

So you want to work from home but you don't know how you can make ends meet? Well how about that old lamp up in the attic from Aunt Shirley? Or how about those clothes that you had to buy but you never wear? Are your kids growing out of their baby clothes? These are all dollar signs, sell them on eBay!

Have you run out of your own stuff that you want to get rid of? Go to garage sales, flea markets, and even dumpster diving (yes, I've done it!) can get you cheap stuff that you can turn around and sell at a profit!

Why are you hanging onto stuff that you no longer have a use for? Don't throw it away, that can be just the thing someone in Milwaukee is looking for!

Let me tell you a short story about my own eBay "treasure". I was a new seller on eBay and I was doing some spring cleaning around my house getting rid of stuff I no longer wanted. I had a "Fisher Price Camcorder" that I had received about 10 years prior as a kid that I had never used! So I listed this item on eBay thinking that it would be good for maybe a nice $10.00, but my item sold for $225.00! It turns out that this particular item was popular amongst struggling film students because it had some sort of an ability to make incredible effects that you couldn't do with a regular camera. Had I known earlier, I had that thing in my closet collecting dust for over 10 years!

So gather those items out of the closet, basement, and attic and have your own "garage sale" on eBay! Someone is waiting to buy your old junk!
