5 Items To Improve Your Website

by: Jennifer Clason

Do you have a website promoting your product or service but you don't see an increase in sales? Perhaps you should include these simple strategies to improve your site.

Each and every commercial website should have these characteristics in order to have a successful online prescence.

Convenience - You must make your site convenient to your customers. Does it save a trip to the store? Does it have good navigation and is it user friendly?

Informational - Make sure that your site covers all bases. You have literally an unlimited amount of space on your website, your customers should never leave with basic questions unanswered.

Avoid Business Speak - Talk to your customers professionally, but avoid being too stiff. Speak to them in a casual tone one-on-one so that they feel like they're actually speaking with a representative of your company. And make the text about them and their needs, not about your company and how many orders you fulfill. They only care about their needs and how you can benefit them.

Interactivity - This is important. It is better to make your site more interactive by having videos of your product or even quizzes or surveys. Something that makes the customer do more than just read.

Contact - Make yourself easily accessible to your clients by placing your contact info unhidden on the page. They will feel closer to you if they know they can contact you at any given time.

Add these simple enhancements to your website to improve its substance and you will find that you get more sales and gain more interest in your products or services!
