by: Jennifer Clason

It's not as easy to write ad copy or sales text as you think. Marketing can be a very complicated strategy to get your customers to buy your product or service. However with these easy tips, we've broken it down into some basic principles for you:

  • Use subtext and bullet points throughout your ad copy and break up long paragraphs
  • Use "call to actions" and tell your customer what you want them to do "join here now" or "click here to order"
  • Offer bonus products with your main products so your customers feel like they're getting a good deal
  • Use testimonials for your product - don't fake these! Publish real testimonials from other customers
  • Write articles to publish in e-zines and online magazines to promote your product or service
  • Offer a "try before you buy" option and let them sample a trial offer of your product or service
  • Offer discounts and/or coupon codes to give first time buyers or loyal buyers a discount

Just keeping these principles in mind you will gain more business and gain the trust of your customers. Not only do you want to lure new customers but you want repeat customers! With these techniques you are in the right direction to building a large customer database!
