Does it sound like I'm speaking in "alien"? A couple days ago I didn't know what a "Squidoo Lens" was either, but I learned from a fellow work-at-homer that it's actually an excellent way to get your message out there! Basically you can have a lens on any topic at all, I chose to create mine about MommyJobs. The point of the website is to learn information and teach information to and from others. Everyone is an expert at something!

So check out the MommyJobs Squidoo Lens or sign up and create your own! It's totally free and you can even make money by selling items on your Lens from Cafe Press, Amazon and other merchants that they offer!

4. Market Your Business Offline!

Everyone on the message boards really helps everyone out with information and we've become a great community of work-at-homers. 5. Contacting Local Media With Your Press Releases!

Do you write press releases for your business? If you don't, you should! I, in fact wrote one yesterday announcing the launch of my new blog, http://www.askgeekgirl.com

I submitted it to all of the online PR places that I know about, but I came across a hidden jewel that I had never found before yesterday. I figured out how to get a listing of all of the newspapers, radio stations, and news stations in your area so that you can contact them and notify them of your own press release!

Just go to "Yahoo Local" and it will ask you for your zip code then go to "Other Professional Services" then "News And Media" and it will have a ton of listings of newspapers, radio stations, and television stations in your area that you can submit your press releases to!

Or go to Google > Directory > News > Newspapers > Regional > United States > your state

There will be publications that you've never even heard of that will be glad to get your story! Give it a try!
