1 pint of long-stemmed
strawberries, washed and patted dry
4 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate
1 tsp. of cooking oil
Spread strawberries
on a working surface with a wax paper covered tray nearby. You
will also need skewers or toothpicks to work with. Melt chocolate
in microwave for 20 seconds and then remove to stir. Repeat until
melted, stirring every 15 seconds or so. Place melted chocolate
near working surface and keep chocolate warm. One at a time, insert
pick into the stem end of the strawberries and dip into the chocolate.
Place strawberry on wax paper and continue with remaining strawberries.
Let set about 10 minutes before serving. Strawberries can be refrigerated
for up to 24 hours.
